Yes I have definitely been missing for a bit here, but I have legit reasons. Number one, and the only when that really matters is the fact that the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games happened, and it was the best 2 weeks of my life. I am SO glad I didn't have to work that much. Now that it's over, I'm actually really sad. I'm missing the crowds, the patriotism, the happiness around the city. I miss the houses (especially the Heineken House), I miss the free shows! That was such a good part of the Olympics, the free shows. Let's see I saw...Bedouin Soundclash, who were so amazing live and I can't wait for them to play Vancouver again (by the way, Jay Malinowski's new Album is wonderful and you should BUY it). Then there was...The Arkells, Our Lady Peace(SOOO GOOD! Made me take out my old OLP albums), Hawksley Workman (he's a lunatic but in the best way ever! "they just pooped everywhere" lol), Mother Mother (I do have to admit I left early, wasn't really into it and they were having so much technical problems, doesn't take away from the bands talent though!), Damian Jr Marley! HE WAS SO AMAZING! LOVE HIMMMM, and lastly THE STILLS. I was SO excited to see them live, but they were kinda not into it. It felt as though they got on stage, played their songs then just left. Not a lot of emotion. Nonetheless they were good live and I still love the band SO MUCH. Can't wait for them to finish recording their new album so they can come back to Vancity and play a show! I'll be front again haha.
Not only did the Olympics happen here in my hometown, such an amazing experience might I add. (ESPECIALLY THE GOLD MEDAL HOCKEY GAME! EFFING SIDNEY CROSBY! AND LUONGO! AND HEATLEY! AND NASH! AND THE WHOLE FREAKING CANADA TEAM! WOOOOO I'll even be nice to Pronger, though I still don't like him. Oh right I was saying the Olympics happened yes, but my birthday also happened and it was so fun! I had a moment on my birthday where I thought about how fast life goes by. It's really crazy, then I get a message you know saying happy birthday and also saying that "remember when we were younger and you were in your Spice Girls and Aqua phase?". It's like time now to just live every day to your fullest, be the best person you can be and let people around you be the best person they can be. And hey, if you can help someone out in need, that's extra gratification. Love it.
Anyways ya'll I'ma peace out and watch some Carlito's Way, just cause I feel like it hah.
Laterrrrrr
Bee.
